Red Chili and the snail
The chili pepper or chilli pepper, is the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum, members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. In Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India and other Asian countries, the word "pepper" is usually omitted.
The common name "snail" is also applied to most of the members of the molluscan class Gastropoda that have a coiled shell that is large enough for the animal to retract completely into.
